Following the encouraging win over Alton at home, we travelled to Abbey Rangers, 4th in the league. This was a stern test. Yonas has been a bit anonymous until the last game, when he worked hard to contain the opposition’s best player. This time he had a good first half and bagged a good goal. Both sides’ defences dominated the attacks for the rest of the game, until the last minute when, after a period of sustained pressure, Abbey put the ball in the net. Tragically, offside.
