Plenty of noise in this picture.

I don’t care.

A physical match with plenty of argy bargy. Balham gave away an early (well set up and taken) goal, and looked under the cosh when they conceded another. But they fought their way into the game, and forced the SCR captian to give away a penalty which was duly slotted.

In the second half, Balham was on top for much of the half, and equalised. They looked more likely to win, but SCR put on a burst of late pressure and put away a messy goal mouth scramble. Oh well.

The SCR keeper was delayed by a traffic accident and replaced by an outfielder for the first few minutes. His clean sheet was rather more impressive than the two shipped by the actual keeper. Who defended his area and line well.
